About JSO

President's Greetings

Greetings!

Welcome to the official website for the Japanese Student Organization at The Ohio State University! My name is Makoto Ibaraki and I'm the president of JSO.

There are many things I want to tell you about JSO, but let me make it short. Our goal at JSO is to spread Japanese culture throughout the OSU community. What does this mean? This means that we want you to come to our events and experience Japanese culture firsthand. From Spring Festival to Sushi Night, there will be numerous opportunities throughout the year for you to enjoy.

You get to experience something new each time you come to our events. But that's not the only good thing waiting for you. At our events, you get to meet and make friends with a lot of people with various majors, backgrounds, and interests.

Starting to sound interesting?
